Propane Transport International (-PTI-) was established in 1950 operating
as a Midwestern common carrier based in Milford, Ohio. In 1987, AmeriGas
Propane LP, the largest retail and wholesale propane marketer in the United
States acquired PTI and enabled the company to expand its hauling activities
to where it is today.
PTI operates as a
common and contract carrier servicing customers throughout the domestic
U.S., several Canadian Provinces and Mexico. The core of our central
dispatch operations, accounting and safety departments are based in
Houston, Texas and function as an integral part of the supply chain for
AmeriGas Propane. In addition, we also operate several regional traffic
offices dedicated and tailored to meet the needs of strategic third party
customers, with logistics specialist and hauling activities in Salt Lake
City, Utah; Grand Junction, Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
PTI is experienced
in bulk tank truck transportation hauling products such as propane,
butane, anhydrous ammonia, propylene, asphalt, cement, and other bulk
commodities.
Our fleet is
diversified with a mix of company driver employees, independent owner
operators, fleet operators and agents. Our customers can be assured that
our drivers are trained, qualified, experienced and safe.
We operate a fleet of
approximately 180 railcars and over 300 transports, which allows us to
efficiently acquire and transport propane and other products across the
